Welcome to the Tasburgh History Group website.  The earliest people to leave their mark on Tasburgh were Mesolithic hunters some time between 4500BC and 8500BC.  We know this because between Low Road and the River Tas, a scatter of fine flint flakes from spear and arrow trimmings were found at a site where firm ground comes close to the river, by a ford which is still marked on maps.
